Girls Fight Back is dedicated to bringing women's safety and self-defense education to the masses. Through live seminars, books, DVDs (coming soon) and this educational website, we strive to teach women you don't have to be a black belt to save your own life. GFB was born in 2001 in response to the murder of a gorgeous, athletic and loved college student named Shannon McNamara. Shannon's friend and Alpha Phi sorority sister, Erin Weed, started Girls Fight Back in 2001 after realizing how most women simply don't have for sensing and responding to violent situations. Seven years after starting GFB, Erin continues traveling the nation giving the GFB seminar to over 100,000 women per year. In addition to speaking about safety, Erin writes books, magazine articles, and is the host of a weekly women's empowerment talk radio show on Clear Channel's AM 760 from Denver. It is our hope that women will begin to realize that fighting like a girl is actually a very good thing! Here's what you can learn on this website:
