Welcome to the virtual stomping ground of Girls Fight Back!  Through our live seminars, books, DVDs (coming soon) and this educational website, we strive to teach young women how to be their own best protectors.  GFB was born in 2001 in response to the murder of a gorgeous, athletic and loved college student named Shannon McNamara .  Shannon's friend and Alpha Phi sorority sister, Erin Weed, started Girls Fight Back in 2001 as a means to make empowering safety education accessible, especially to young women in their teens and twenties. It is our hope that through the mission of GFB, women will realize that fighting like a girl is actually a very good thing!  While you're visting our site, you can do the following:
